Incredibly cute and friendly little dogs, Pomeranians – also referred to as Zwergspitz (Miniature Spitz) or affectionately as Poms – belong to the Spitz family. The Spitz type dogs include the Keeshond, Samoyed, Alaskan Malamute, Akita and Chow Chow among others.

Pomeranians are believed to have originated in the Pomerania region of Europe which is now lies partly in modern day Poland and Germany.

DogsPK.com was launched back in 2005 as a passion project. The website was the first information and community portal for dog fanciers in Pakistan. It was equally popular in India with a lot of our community members joining us from across the border.

In 2010, we experienced data loss due to an unfortunate hack. We could not restore the old data and by that time, we were too busy with other projects to dedicate the time this website demanded.

We're launching the website again in 2019, mainly because we still feel there is a void for good quality content, especially tailored for dog fanciers in India and Pakistan.

In rebuilding this free resource for dog fanciers, we will be needing help from all of you.
