Hello my name is Umair Butt, and I am from the beautiful city of Lahore. I am the owner of kennel named ‘von der Wunderbar’. My family has always kept dogs as a pet. I was also raised among dogs during my whole life. I am attracted to all types of breeds ranging from Great Danes to little Pekingese. I have always been a Dog show follower, and have been attending Dog shows for last 8years. It was at these shows that I was very much attracted to Rottweiler breed. The first most thing that inspired me about this magnificent breed was its awesome temperament.

Since then I started to follow many of the dogs that were shown in Pakistan. I started gaining more knowledge about this breed before getting one. I started reading more on training, shows, temperament and working abilities of this great breed. I was really impressed by dogs that have immense willingness to work. Finally I got my first Rottweiler puppy in year 2005. It was a non-pedigreed but was nice on conformation. Unfortunately he passed out within 6months. Then after a long gap I got an adult female to start of with. She is Andy vom Aldersnest and has very impressive pedigree including many German Dogs. She is out of Razor Kaktusinsel and Anny Aldersnest.

Then in year 2009 I finally bred my female with the Sieger of 2009 Dux von der Maxi Rott. It is my first bred litter so I registered my kennel with name von der Wunderbar.

At Wunderbar I have a dream to produce best Rottweiler that can be best for shows and work both. For this I consider choosing the breeding stock with best bloodlines in world. Temperament is a very important point in breeding, especially Rottweiler. A Rottweiler must have sound temperament, without showing any sign of aggression or shyness. It should be determined, willing to work and please his owner. Many people misunderstand this breed taking it as an aggressive and violent one. But that not true, because poorly bred and untrained dogs are more of a liability than to become an asset.

Further I also think that Champion dogs are not just bred, they have to be made. A dog that has potential to become a Champion can lose badly if he is not trained to become a Champion.

In future I have some plans to import few dogs for making my breeding stock better and producing nice beautiful dogs out of best bloodlines.

Thanks
Umair Butt
